WEโ€™RE RANDY ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ and TERI ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ… two people who have found our paradise in the tropical Western Pacific, living out our retirement to the fullest.

We made the decision to retire early and in 2013 we sold our home, packed up the furniture and the cats, and moved to the Philippines. We built a home on the island of Samar and learned that our much desired utopia did not exist in a single location… so we later moved to Guam and now travel back and forth, enjoying the commonality and difference that both locations offer. While curiosity is the key to unlocking life, pushing one’s self to live outside their comfort zone softens expectations, and has helped us to embrace the great unknown. And the more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us.

Some 10 years later, we still look to new adventures, and have come to understand that comfort and stability play an important role in any chosen lifestyle. Today, it’s all about managing our resources and our health, and weโ€™re always looking for new and better ways to do so.

Our journey is ever-evolving but our goal remains the same: To enjoy life to it’s fullest… and as much as possible, just hanging out in the “Tropic Shade.”

Formerly “Retired in Samar,” we are now “Living in the Pacific.” ๐Ÿฅ‚
